Damon Reabe of Reabe Spraying Service in Waupun spoke with members on April 12 about aerial crop spraying in a beekeeper’s world. It was very interesting to listen to this perspective and ask questions. Members were able to see how aerial spraying technology has improved, the awareness tools available to sprayers and beekeepers (ie. Driftwatch), and make comparisons as to how crops were chemically treated in the past versus the present. This was a very helpful and candid exchange between two industries that don’t often share debate on the same field.
