New beekeepers were given lessons on mid-spring hive inspections, spring feeding, and finding the queen (after packages had been installed earlier in the year). The club hives were all fed with sugar syrup and brood boxes were added. Brood patterns were also noted. Thank you to Louis Antonioni, Jeanne Malterer, Mel Saeger, Aaron Saeger, Andy Schnitzler, Jackie Tracy, and Tom Witte for answering questions and providing a hands-on learning experience for new beekeepers.
